Vol. 45 No. 1 (2026)
The first issue of the 45 volume of 2026 “Auxiliary Historical Disciplines” consists of four thematic sections. The first of them combines articles on various subjects related to the history of Russia: the first pages of the domestic paper production of Peter the Great are considered; the biography of the outstanding statesman of the first half of the 19th century Sergey S. Uvarov by the literary critic Petr I. Bartenev is published; the “peasant resolutions” is analyzed in the context of the history of the peasant community in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century; the legacy of academician Nikolay P. Likhachev continues to be investigated.
The second section consists of articles-publications of sources, based on reports made by participants in the scientific conference “Decembrists in the historical fate of Russia. To the 200th anniversary of the revolt on Senate Square (1825–2025)”, which took place on November 17–19, 2026 at the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Traditional articles on universal history and historiography complete the issue devoted to the reconstruction of the Byzantine code of the turn of the VIth-VIIth centuries Strategicon of Pseudo-Mauritius, and to the context of the presentation of the dissertation thesis by the Leningrad medievalist Valentina V. Stockmar in 1942.
