The second issue of "Auxiliary Historical Disciplines", Volume XLIII (2024), publishes articles and research materials related to the history of Medieval and Early Modern Russia and France. The first section consists of research materials devoted to the history of Russia a study of the movements of Ivan IV the Terrible throughout his reign, a unique Russian inscription from the second half of the 17th century, new materials about the funeral hall of Peter I from the collection of Nikolay Likhachev.The second section of the issue combines materials related to the history of France. Their focus is on a notarial act related to the humanist of the 16th century Louis le Roy, as well as documents linked to the events of the French Revolution and the Patriotic War of 1812: the first publications of a letter from Louis XVI to diplomat and collector Peter Dubrovsky, and of a fragment of notes by the French general Colbert de Chabanais from a French private archive in France.
