Abstract

The article traces the fate of the archive and the collections of squeezes of the Russian Archaeological Institute in Constantinople, a part of which is stored in the St. Petersburg Branch of the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences. A comprehensive scientific study on squeezes has led to the discovery of several previously unknown inscriptions that have worldwide scientific significance.
