The fourth issue оf the volume LXIII оf “Auxiliary Historical Disciplines” includes four sections. The first contains materials devoted to the history оf Russia, new data from sources about the famous Moscow bell and cannon master of the 17th century Andrey Chokhov, аs well аs acts оf office work of the 18th century concerning auditors of military courts. The history of the adoption оf the charter of the Russian Geographical Society in the middle of the 19th century is also covered; аn unpublished article by the famous Soviet historian of antiquity of the early 1930s Sergey Kovalev, devoted to the history of antiquity in Russia, is being introduced into scientific circulation. The second section of the volume is devoted to the history оf Western European countries. A convolute from three Paris editions of the turn of the 15th-16th centuries is considered, originating from the collection of Count Dmitriy Mavros (Library of the Russian Academy оf Sciences), аs well аs materials from the French royal police of the 18th century about the visit to Paris оf Princess Ekaterina Dashkova in the winter of 1780-1781. The third section of the volume contains works оn the situation оf the church in Soviet times and during the Great Patriotic War.
